Site Coordinator, Full-Service Grant. 2 positions available

Location:
Blackhawk Middle School, or Johnson School, or Tioga School - to be determined.
Date Available:
Immediately. The project is funded by a grant that began in 2018-2019 and can be renewed for four additional years.
Compensation:
Annual salary ranging from $29,000 to $35,000 plus medical insurance and other benefits.
Summary:
The Site Coordinator will support the District's partners who are providing grant-related services at a particular school. They will work closely with families and students to ensure attendance, recruitment, and retention. They will work with the Lead Site Coordinator to obtain data for grant-reporting purposes.
The Full Service Community Schools Project:
The position is part of the District's Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) Project. This is a five-year grant-funded project in which the District and its partner agencies will provide educational, social, and health services for students, families, and the community. The project goals are to increase academic outcomes, improve school climate and increase capacity to address academic and nonacademic barriers to student learning. Funding is confirmed through September 2019. Funding for four additional years is expected, subject to annual approval from the US Department of Education.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the planning, coordination, scheduling and implementation of all FSCS program activities at the school site.
Assist teachers and other District staff to obtain services and programs from partners to support District learning objectives.
Support the Lead Site Coordinator in soliciting parent, teacher, and community input regarding parent educational needs.
Recruit and retain students and parents to participate in the FSCS Project.
Provide on-site leadership and support during FSCS programming.
Coordinate with project staff and other School Site Coordinators to ensure program alignment across FSCS schools.
Assist in the data collection and needs assessment process.
Work with school personnel and FSCS partners to select and prepare facility locations to conduct programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experiences:
Working with diverse and/or high-need populations.
Program design, management and coordination.
Community organizing experience preferred.
Abilities:
Keep accurate records, analyze data, and prepare reports.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to prioritize strategically and coordinate multiple tasks.
Spanish language skills preferred.
Positive, proactive approach to problem solving
Able to work in a team-oriented environment and facilitate partnerships between school, community, post-secondary, civic and governmental constituencies.
Experienced in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Physical Demands:
Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, year-round.
Allowances may be made for well-qualified applicants whose work days are limited by the Teachers Retirement System.
Able to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
Able to provide own transportation during the performance of responsibilities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
