Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Technician position requires high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to heavy duty Diesel Engine Diagnosis, repairs, as well as for Forklift and Pallet Jack repairs. Comprehension of Fleet Maintenance operations, understanding of electrical, hydraulics, PM and BIT inspection knowledge. PC and some software knowledge required. We need someone with current experience, who has not been out of the business for more than two years at most.
Class A driver's license is required, however a person meeting all of the other above qualifications, may be afforded the allotted time to obtain a commercial license.
Position Information:
o Shift: Sunday-Thursday: 10.30pm-7.00am
o Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
o Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
o Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
o Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
o Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle
o Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
o Perform other duties as require
Requirements:
o Must have at least 5 years' experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
o Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
o Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds
o Must provide own hand tools
o Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
o Intermediate computer skills
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
o Must be able to work with or around chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
Physical Requirements:
oAbility to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
oAbility to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
oAbility to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
oAbility to work outside in various weather conditions.
oAble to work varying shifts.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
