Manager Middleware Infrastructure Prestigious Enterprise Firm seeks a Manager of Middleware Instructure. The candidate will manage a team of Middleware engineers responsible for ongoing Middleware operations that provides 24/7 support to the firm's Middleware environment, which includes Oracle Fusion Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus, Apache and Data Power technologies. The primary responsibility of the Middleware Manager is to oversee the design, development and support of technology infrastructure, hardware, software and office systems support and distribution, systems performance management and technology integration functions. The Middleware Manager manages a team that designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements Middleware components, tools, and utilities required for the operation, maintenance, and control of systems. Support the development of the three to five year strategic roadmap aligning with the overall enterprise direction. Overview of Team Function This role will be responsible for managing the operations of the Middleware infrastructure environments and to ensure the operation is in accordance with established procedures and practices. This is accomplished through monitoring performance of Middleware applications and coordinating technology deployment and delivery schedules. Additional responsibilities cover the identification of requirements for infrastructure and operations expansion based on current and projected capacity needs and well as the establishment of software and operating system standards. Role Specific Responsibilities- Leads efforts in executing Middleware configuration management, vendor management, problem mitigation, change management, and critical situation management for mission-critical systems. - Manages Middleware projects and assesses risk, cost, and return on investment scenarios and their impact as well as potential compatibility issues with existing hardware/software. - Identifies and defines new Middleware technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurations. - Provides consultation and technical solutions to management on complex systems integration, complex distributed Java applications, compatibility, expandability, ease of use, and multiple platform issues as they relate to Middleware. - Plan and direct optimum utilization of fusion Middleware-based applications and associated staff to meet company objectives. - Direct the preparation and execution of Middleware-based operations production procedures. - Develop and manage to Key Performance Indicators. - Plan, schedule and supervise around the clock technology operations including emergency situations requiring the manager's attention after normal business hours to insure continual operations. - Review operating key performance indicators of Middleware operations resources utilization and performance. - Communicate regularly with senior management to report on operations performance. - Maintain open communications with business user management to keep them apprised of operational situations that impact or may impact their respective areas. - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside Information Systems. - Establish and maintain appropriate quality control systems for the validation of data input and output. - Responsible for data processing supplies inventory and procurement. - Maintain and schedule satisfactory equipment maintenance. - Coordinate, schedule and plan the installation of Middleware-based technologies and applications. Business Partnership- Conduct routine meetings with key business partners to review/discuss overall technology performance for the specific functional areas under responsibility. - Work with business partners to communicate overall technology capacity related to business priorities for the specific business

People Management- Monitor workload of staff to ensure team members are consistently managed and challenged. - Proactively mentor associates to, in-turn, promote consistent career management, performance measurement and skill development of staff. - Play significant role in performance management, writing appraisals, giving feedback and helping staff design career development plans. - Actively participate in HR performance measurement processes. - Work with HR and Resource Management to define and implement programs to address changes in resourcing, career mobility, career development and reward/recognition initiatives. - Promote effective teamwork and manage the resolution of interpersonal issues. - Identify ways to share resources across business services/processes to promote information sharing and career/skill development through job rotation. - Define staffing plans and oversee recruiting process to achieve goals Qualifications - College degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience. - Minimum of 10 years' experience in Oracle Fusion Middleware

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
